Sometimes other Marisa Mell-fans ask me what my favorite movie poster is of a Marisa Mell movie. Well there are several movie posters that are in my top 10 like the mega posters for "Una Sull'Altra", both versions, the black one and the green one, where Marisa Mell and co-star Elza Martinelli are both depicted in stunning art work and very life like or the giallo version of the movie poster for the excellent "La Encadenada" with another beautiful rendition of Marisa Mell in a vortex of fear. But when you ask me what is in my opinion the best set of movie posters and lobby cards then it has to be the Italian locadine of the 1966 cold war spy movie "City of Fear". This set of movie posters and lobby cards has it all. Stunning art work of Marisa Mell on two of the three movie posters, vibrant colors, action scenes, vintage cars and in the vein of the James Bond craze from that moment a mega gun with a silencer. Can you ask for more? Although the movie was shot in black and white the lobby cards are all re-colored in lively colors almost all depicting a beautiful Marisa Mell as she appeared in the movie! Simply the best set!

I really like the first poster, the one with just Marisa Mell. Do you own an original of that poster? I'd assume it's pretty rare.
No, unfortunately I do not own any of the posters! At the moment they sell between 100 - 250 USD depending on the condition! The first poster is enormous, almost covering a complete wall of a house! Remember they were used outside movie theatres to attracted the audience! So that had to be BIG! Marisa Mell is really stunning on the first picture!
Yea, I was able to find one person selling the first one for a little under $250 and it is huge. Really would like to get it but having trouble finding someone who can do overlays for a frame that size!
You wouldn't know where to find this movie would you? I found a forum post somewhere dated back at the end of 2006 that some small independent company was releasing City of Fear on DVD. Couldn't find anything else about it.
Thanks for your blog! I found it when searching "La Diabolica Spia". I have one of those posters, the 7th. It was amongst about 20 old movie posters I bought in a flea market in Sicly about 8 years ago. I sold most of them in London but kept this one and a couple others. It's about time I get it framed, it will look great on the wall. I knew nothing of the movie or indeed Marisa Mell so have been interested to learn about her. Thank you.
Hey Penny, welcome to the Marisa Mell Fan Family! Thanks for the nice words about the Marisa Mell Blog! It is always nice to hear from other fans of her movies! I appreciate it very much! When you have the poster framed and put up on the wall, if you like, you can send me a picture of it and I will make an entry about it! Maybe it will be the beginning of a series of entries about memorabelia at home! All the best! Mirko
